How Can We Help?
Question Bank Features Overview
Questions and Question Bank in Online Exams
You can create two types of question in Test Invite Exam System.
- Multiple Choice Questions: After the question is asked, multiple options are given to the candidate to make a choice. Number of the given options to be selected is predetermined.
- Open Ended Questions: After the question is asked to the candidate, it is selected how the candidate answers the questions: by writing, uploading a file, recording his/her sound or image.
Storing Questions in the Question Bank
The questions and exams at Test Invite may exist independently from each other. For example, you can keep your questions by grouping them with folders and labels in question bank -without associating them with any exam-. You can then use these questions repeatedly in any exam. In this context, the question bank quickly allows you to prepare new exams by selecting the questions you want and reduce your chance of making mistakes.
Creating the Questions in the Exam
Test invite does not require you to register the questions in the question bank. You can create the questions you want in an exam without including in the question bank. In this way, you will not let a question that you will only use in one exam to overcrowd the question bank.
Question Bank
To go to Question Bank, you can click on Question Bank button on the menu.
Question Bank stores all your questions in one convenient location. You can:
- create new questions,
- list your current questions,
- or change/delete them.
With Folder and Tags you can categorize your questions and filter them.
Note: Each Question can only be stored in one Folder but can have multiple Tags.
Folder (Classification)
Each Question is stored in a (single) Folder.
To change the Folder of a Question, you can use the Folder tab in Question Editor.

When you navigate to Folder tab in Question Editor to set the Folder of a question:
- You can type any Folder name in dropdown box
- If there’s already a Folder with that name, then the Question will be saved under that Folder.
- If there isn’t a Folder with that name, then first the Folder will be created and then the Question will be saved under the Folder.
- or you can select an already created Folder from the dropdown dox.
Note: If you do not specify a Folder when creating a Question, the Question will be saved under My Questions Folder by default.
Warning: A Question cannot be stored under multiple Folders. It can only be saved under single Folder.
Tags (Grouping)
With Tags, you can group your questions and categorize them in specific categories.
Each tag is made of a Tag Name and a Tag Value.
You can use the Folder tab of the Question Editor to add and change Tag(s) of a Question.
When you navigate to Folder tab in Question Editor to set the Tag(s) of a question:
- You can create a new Tag Name by typing.
- or can use a previously created Tag Name from dropdown box.
Note: If you don’t add any Tags to a Question, the system will add Category:General tag to it by default.
EXAMPLE:
Tag Name: Course
Tag Value: Mathematics

This Tag shows that the Question belongs to a Mathematics Course.
You can add multiple Tags to a Question.
EXAMPLE:
Difficulty:Hard
Course:Mathematic
Subject:Numbers
Question Type: MCQ (Multiple Choice Question)
These tags show that this Question belongs to a Mathematics Course and it’s about Numbers. It’s a hard Question to answer and it’s a Multiple Choice Question.
