Adding Rich Content to the Exam Pages

Contents, apart from questions, can be added to the exam pages. These contents can be complementary to the questions on the page (for example joint text, graphics, text, etc. for a few questions) or can be for information purposes. Contents added to the page can be formatted with rich text editor.

The contents on the page can be added to the top of the page as well as positioned between any questions or at the end of the page.

Rich Text Editor

You can use the Rich Text Editor to format your Questions, Choices and Texts as you can do in Office Programs and add Multimedia elements to them.

On the above picture, you can see a screenshot of the Rich Text Editor. In order:

• 1: Change font size.
• 2: Adjust the position of the text.
• 3: Change font color.
• 4: Change background color.
• 5: Make the text Bold.
• 6: Make the text Italic .
• 7: Underline the text.
• 8: Strike over text.
• 9: Convert text to subscript
• 10: Convert text to superscript
• 11: Numbered list
• 12: Bulleted list
• 13: Decrease Indent
• 14: Increase Indent
• 15: Convert text to quote
• 16: Convert text to code block
• 17: Add link to text
• 18: Change text direction (Left-to-Right or Right-to-Left)
• 19: Remove all text styles.

The 4 most right buttons on the Rich Text Editor is used to add Multimedia elements (Images, Videos, Audio Recordings or Files).

Right-to-Left writing

If you are using a Language that is written from right to left (Arabic, Farsi, etc.), you can use the text direction change button to change your Text’s direction.

Adding an Image

You can add a Picture in every field that you can edit with the Rich Text Editor.

This way, you can prepare more advanced questions by adding Images to your Questions and Choices.

You cannot resize the Image after you upload it.

Please make sure that the Image is in the correct size before your upload.

For the best experience, it is recommended for your images not to be smaller than 50×50 or bigger than 800×600.

Image Linking

How to Link to an Image from the web:

1. Click on the Image button the Rich Text Editor,
2. Add Image window with the URL tab will open up,
3. Type the full web address of the Image you want to link to the Image URL field,
4. Click on Add button.

Image Uploading

How to Upload an Image from your device:

1. Click on the Image button the Rich Text Editor,
2. Add Image window with the URL tab will open up,
3. Click on Upload tab button to go to Upload tab,
4. Click on Select File button to select the file you want to upload from your device.

Warning: The maximum file size of an Image can’t be more than 5mb.

Adding a Video

You can add a Video in every field that you can edit with the Rich Text Editor.

This way, you can prepare more advanced questions by adding Videos to your Questions and Choices.

You cannot resize the Video after you upload it.

Please make sure that the Video is in the correct size before your upload.

For the best experience, it is recommended for your videos not to be smaller than 300×200 or bigger than 800×600.

Video Linking

How to Link a Video from the web:

1. Click on the Video button the Rich Text Editor,
2. Add Video window with the URL tab will open up,
3. Type the full web address of the Video you want to link to the Video URL field,
   1. Video’s dimensions is set to 200×300 by default. It is recommended to change these fields to your video’s correct values.
4. Click on Add button.

Video Uploading

How to Upload a Video from your device:

1. Click on the Video button the Rich Text Editor,
2. Add Video window with the URL tab will open up,
3. Click on Upload tab button to go to Upload tab,
4. Click on Select File button to select the file you want to upload from your device.
   1. Video’s dimensions is set to 200×300 by default. It is recommended to change these fields to your video’s correct values.

How to change the dimension of a Video after uploading:

1. First, delete the Video from your content.
2. Click on the Video button the Rich Text Editor,
3. Add Video window with the URL tab will open up,
   1. The uploaded video will appear on the bottom of the page.
4. Click on the uploaded video from the list to copy its link to the Video URL field,
5. Change the dimensions to your liking and then click on Add button.

Warning: The maximum file size of an uploaded video can’t be more than 10mb.

Video Embedding

How to embed a video from YouTube:

1. Click on the Video button the Rich Text Editor,
2. Add Video window with the URL tab will open up,
3. Type the embed URL of the YouTube Video you want to link to the Video URL field.

How to learn the embed URL of a YouTube Video:

1. Open the video you want to embed on YouTube first,
2. Right-click on the video,
3. Select copy embed code from the popup menu,
4. Paste the copied text to text editor,
5. Find the src tag and copy the embed URL only.

Video Security

You can set up how the applicants can interact with your videos, while you are adding them from User Controls field:

• Allow pause: the applicant is allowed to pause the video after starting the playback.
• Allow going forward-backward: the applicant is allowed to replay the video over and over again:
  • If you disallow this option, then another field will open which will let you determine how many times this video can be replayed.

Adding an Audio Recording

You can add an Audio in every field that you can edit with the Rich Text Editor.

This way, you can prepare more advanced questions by adding Audio to your Questions and Choices.

You cannot change the Audio after you upload it.

Please make sure that the Audio is correct before your upload.

Audio Linking

How to Link an Audio Recording from the web:

1. Click on the Audio button the Rich Text Editor,
2. Add Audio window with the URL tab will open up,
3. Type the full web address of the Audio you want to link to the Video URL field,
4. Click on Add button.

How to Upload an Audio Recording from your device:

1. Click on the Audio button the Rich Text Editor,
2. Add Audio window with the URL tab will open up,
3. Click on Upload tab button to go to Upload tab,
4. Click on Select File button to select the file you want to upload from your device.

Audio Recording Security

You can set up how the applicants can interact with your audio recording, while you are adding them from User Controls field:
