Page Content

You can manually create pages from scratch or use Test Invite’s functions to automatically create Pages to use in your Exams.

How to edit the contents of a Page:

  1. Open the Exam from the Exam Editor.
  2. Click the pencil icon of the Page you want to edit,
  3. The Page Editor will open this Page,
  4. Edit as you like, all changes are saved instantly.

Page Editor

You can use the Page Editor to design every element of a page’s look and its contents.

In the test page editing window, questions can be added, deleted or edited. Additionally, each question can be mandatory to be answered, its point can be changed.

The image above shows a screenshot of the Page Editor window. In order:

  • 1: Shows the Section of the Page
  • 2: Shows if there is a Time Limit on the Page
  • 3: Shows Going Forward-Backward status on the Page
  • 4: Opens Page Settings
  • 5: Deletes the Page
  • 6: Displays the Page’s Title. You can edit this section in Page settings.
  • 7: Preview: click to preview how an Applicant will see this page during the exam.
  • 8: Close: closes the Page Editor.
  • 9: changes the order of the Questions on the Page.
    • Only valid when there are multiple questions.
  • 10: Edit Question: allows you to change the contents of the Question (for this Page only).
  • 11: Deletes the Question
  • 12: Fixed: fix the position of the question while Shuffling Questions is active within the page.
  • 13: Required: prevent the Applicant from moving to next page without answering this question.
  • 14: Point: change the Point of the Question.
  • 15: Add Content/Questions to a Page

Page Questions

For any Questions in a Page, you can edit:

  • All of its contents,
  • Its Required status,
  • Its position on the Page,
  • and its Point.

Sorting Questions & Random Sorting

The questions are sorted in the same order as you see them on the page by default.

If Shuffle questions is active in Page Settings then the order of the questions will be randomized.

How to fix the position of a Question within the page, regardless of Shuffle:

  1. Go to the relevant question inside the page,
  2. Check the Fixed box in the gray rectangle next to it.

Mandatory Questions

You may require Applicants to answer certain Questions during the Exam.

Applicants cannot move to next page or finish the Exam without answering these Questions once they have opened a Page with a Mandatory Question.

Exams with non-answered Mandatory Questions are only terminated when the Time Limit expires.

NOTE

Any changes you make in the Page Editor are saved instantly.

How to preview a Page:

  1. Open the Page in the Page Editor
  2. Check Preview box.
    1. to see how the Page will look like during the Exam
    2. or instantly check how your changes has affected the Page

How to add new Content/Questions to a Page.

  1. Open the Page in the Page Editor
  2. Click the red circle at the bottom right
  3. A menu will open and you will be prompted to choose an option:
    1. Multiple Choice Question: to create a new Multiple Choice Question (not added to the Question Bank).
    2. Input Question: to create a new Input Question (not added to the Question Bank).
    3. Import Questions: to quickly create Question(s) by Type & Paste Method.
    4. Browse Question Bank: to import Questions from your Question Bank.
    5. Random Question Selector: to import Questions from your Question Bank but each Applicant will get a random set of Questions from your selected Questions.
    6. Content: to add Rich Text Content to your Pages that are not Questions (example: a paragraph of text, a photo or a video, etc.)

You can create Questions for your Exams that are not stored in your Question Bank.

Multiple Choice Question

If you choose to create a Multiple Choice Question from your Page Editor, you can create a Question bound to that Exam.

NOTE

These Questions will be stored in the Exams that they were created in.

WARNING: You cannot export or copy these Questions to other Exams.

Input Question

If you choose to create an Input Question from your Page Editor, you can create a Question bound to that Exam.

NOTE

These Questions will be stored in the Exams that they were created in.

WARNING: You cannot export or copy these Questions to other Exams.

Import Questions

You can quickly create multiple Questions for your Exams by using Type & Paste Method.

How to add multiple Questions to your Page with Type & Paste Method

  1. Open the Page in Page Editor.
  2. Click on the red circle on bottom right.
  3. Click on Import Questions button on the popup menu.
  4. Text Field where you can type the Questions and Answers will open.
  5. Use the Type & Paste Method to write your Questions ans Answers in bulk.
    1. Please remember to type a dash (-) between each Question.

EXAMPLE:

3rd Question’s Percentage Value and Reporting Name is set.

1st and 2nd Questions’ Percentage Value and Reporting Name is not set.

Percentage Value will be set to -100 by default.What is your favorite color

White
blue
Red

What is the capital of France?

London
Paris
Sophia
Prague

Browse Question Bank

You can easily create Pages by importing Questions directly from your Question Bank.

How to import Questions from your Question Bank:

  1. Open the Page in Page Editor.
  2. Click on the red circle on bottom right.
  3. Click on Browse Question Bank button on the popup menu.
  4. Add Question window will open.
  5. Click on the Tags of the questions you want to select and list them.
  6. Check the boxes to the left of the questions that you want from the list.
  7. Click to ADD SELECTED X QUESTIONS button on top of the list to add them.
